The Flybikes front rim is made from 6061-T6 aluminum, has extra thick, rounded sidewalls to avoid dents, prevent pinch flats, and machined holes to reduce rotational weight. The front rim has a low profile and uses traditional straight lacing opposed to the cross lacing the rear version uses.
